Help and frequently asked questions

Does membership include recognition?

No. Membership and recognition have separate eligibility, decisions and records. Choose the recognition route if you want a programme or practice assessed.

Can I practise in another country with an EUBF record?

Check that country’s requirements with the competent authority. An EUBF record does not automatically confer a licence or permission to work.

Understanding verification

Where is my application?

Use your application reference in the account area. If access is unavailable, contact EUBF through the enquiry route without creating a duplicate application.

Applications and requests

How do I raise a concern?

Use learner support for course assistance, complaints for service or conduct concerns, and appeals for eligible formal decisions. The relevant page explains the evidence and procedure.

How do I check a certificate or public claim?

Use the verification service with the reference shown on the document. Compare the holder, record type, scope and dates with the claim. If no result appears or the details differ, ask EUBF to check the reference; an unsuccessful search alone does not establish that a document is false.

Does membership include insurance?

Membership does not itself provide insurance. Check the cover required for your activities and obtain confirmation from the relevant insurer. A membership record cannot be used as evidence that a particular service, location or practitioner is insured.

Membership benefits and fees

Will my membership renew automatically?

No. Renewal requires your agreement, the relevant eligibility checks and payment. Review the term and fee before confirming. If you do not renew, membership ends on the expiry date shown in your record, and current membership claims and marks must stop.

Renew your membership

Can I ask for help with access or a document format?

Yes. Contact EUBF with the page, document or activity concerned and explain the assistance or format you need. You do not need to provide medical details for a general accessibility enquiry. For support with a particular course, start with the named provider and the learner-support information.
