Eligibility and scope
Applicants must identify the legal provider, teaching locations, delivery methods and programmes submitted. The provider must be able to demonstrate lawful operation and responsibility for learners.
Assessment requirements
The evidence should show how the programme works for a learner, from admission to completion. Explain what learners are expected to achieve, how the curriculum develops that ability and how teaching staff are qualified for their responsibilities.
Assessment materials must show how achievement is judged. Provide the criteria, representative tasks and examples of assessed work where appropriate, together with the arrangements for checking consistency and reviewing a disputed result.
Quality assurance should explain how the provider identifies and corrects problems. Include learner information, access support, complaints and record management. A written policy is useful when the evidence also shows how it is applied; course publicity must accurately describe the provision being assessed.
Review and decision
Document review may be supported by interviews, observations and sampling of assessment records. The outcome identifies any conditions, approved scope and review requirements.
Continuing responsibility
Recognition lasts 24 months, subject to annual review and compliance. Material changes to ownership, delivery or assessment must be reported before they affect the recognised provision.
