Before choosing a course
Read the learning outcomes, timetable and entry requirements. Check whether delivery is online, in person or blended, and whether attendance at a specified location is required.
Compare the expected starting level with your existing knowledge, not just the course title. Consider the time needed for study and assessment as well as scheduled teaching. If a prerequisite, attendance requirement or intended outcome is unclear, ask the named provider before making a payment or arranging travel.
Fees and enrolment
The course record names the provider and explains the total fee, included materials, assessment charges and cancellation terms. Enrol through the route stated in that record.
Completion and records
Check the work required to complete the course and the type of certificate, if any. A CPD duration is a record of learning time, not a licence to carry out a treatment.
Support
Discuss access needs before enrolment. Learner support explains how to raise delivery concerns or challenge an eligible assessment decision.
