Choose appropriate learning
Course information identifies learning outcomes, entry requirements, delivery language, duration, fees and assessment. Check that the course is suitable for your experience and intended use.
Providers and educators
The named provider is responsible for delivery. Educator competence, assessment responsibilities and learner support must be clear before enrolment.
Evidence of achievement
A certificate of attendance records participation. A certificate of completion records the stated completion requirements. A qualification requiring assessed competence must identify its assessment and awarding arrangements.
Before enrolling, ask what you must demonstrate to receive the stated document and who is responsible for that judgement. Attendance, successful completion and assessed competence answer different questions. Read the course requirements alongside the certificate description, particularly if you intend to use the document for employment, further study or a professional application.
Ongoing development
Continuing professional development (CPD) helps practitioners maintain and develop their competence. It complements, but does not replace, any training, registration or permission required by law.
