Who may use a mark
Only a holder authorised under the relevant membership, recognition, award or partnership terms may use that mark. The authorisation identifies the permitted context and period.
Accurate presentation
Do not alter artwork, remove a scope statement or use a mark on unrelated services or products. Membership marks must not imply accreditation. An award mark must include the relevant category and year.
The surrounding wording matters as much as the artwork. A membership mark beside a course description must not suggest that the course has been assessed under a recognition scheme. A reference to a past award should retain its category and year. Use the authorised description of the relationship so readers can tell exactly what the mark represents.
End of entitlement
Stop using a mark when the entitlement expires, is suspended or is withdrawn, according to the decision and applicable terms. Correct online and printed claims within the required period.
Permissions and concerns
Request permission for editorial or other uses outside an existing authorisation. Report misleading use with the location, wording and record reference where available.
