Check the status
Read the start and expiry dates and any restriction shown. A current record applies only to its stated scope. A related company or additional site is not included automatically.
Match the claim to the precise provider, activity and location in the record. Recognition of a training programme does not, for example, establish recognition of a separate salon operated by the same organisation. If the advertised scope is wider than the record, ask for clarification before treating the additional activity as recognised.
What recognition establishes
Recognition is a voluntary EUBF scheme. It does not replace local registration, licensing or the provider’s own responsibilities to learners and clients.
Uncertain claims
If a claim differs from the record, request clarification before relying on it. Send the record number and the wording concerned to EUBF.
